Moving the Lost Shul Mural Tour 05/06/2015

Follow the move of the Lost Shul Mural from the Chai Adam Synagogue on Burlington's Hyde Street, to it's new home at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue on North Prospect Street. An engineering and organizational feat, enjoyed by the many watching, the many participating and the many to benefit from saving this importatnt piece of history and art. A Community Celebration of Freedom: Interfaith Passover Seder 04/27/2015

Each year, the Passover Seder combines stories, song and food to celebrate the liberation of Jews from slavery in Egypt 3000 years ago. In this Interfaith Seder, Rabbi Joshua Chasan wrote a Haggadah to bring together community members across different faiths, backgrounds, and contries of origin to celebrate a shared commitment to human freedom. Vermont Legislature Recognizes Armenian Genocide 03/31/2015

On the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Vermont House and Senate passed a resolution recognizing the event. Armenians gathered on March 31st 2015 to celebrate the significant resolution with music during the House "Devotional" by Locum, and an afternoon presentation by Vermont authors Chris Bohjalian and Dana Walrath. 1.5 million Armenians were killed in the genocide, which began in April 2015. Some countries, including Turkey, have not recognized the Armenian Genocide happened.

Additionally, Wolff explains how the social impact of that crisis in the US, Greece, Spain, and beyond are building to a historic change in our world.

Richard D. Wolff is Professor of Economics Emeritus, University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he taught economics from 1973 to 2008. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program in International Affairs of the New School University, New York City. He also teaches classes regularly at the Brecht Forum in Manhattan.
