Description
From the Festial of Fools:
All of the Rivers is a global journey through song, story, and dance curated and directed by musician and activist Avi Salloway (Billy Wylder / Bombino). The dynamic performances will feature over 20 international musicians and dancers who have recently resettled in VT. All of the Rivers includes Burlington based, Congolese Choir, percussionists from Senegal, Ghana, and Guinea, Steeve Valcourt from the Haitian band, Lakou Mizik, Pia Zapata from Chile, Andric Severance from VT, all in collaboration with Salloway's Billy Wylder band mates, Pia Ella from Peru and Ricardo Guerra from Miami/Cuba. The lively and unique show will amplify immigrant voices (in 5 languages!) and weave together themes of migration, identity, justice, love, freedom, home, and connection.
