Description
Community producer James Gero's video.
Known for their luminous color and layered surfaces, Gail Salzman’s abstract oil paintings have been exhibited widely across the East Coast. The title of the exhibition references a method of measuring depth, and brings together Salzman’s most recent body of work in a metaphorical investigation of water’s seen and unseen influence on our lives. While exploring formal elements of composition, Salzman uses water to represent the fluidity of time and memory while recalling multiple levels of experience. Salzman lives and works in Vermont.
