The ground breaking of Chittenden County Transportation Authority's Downtown Transit Center with guest speakers including: Senator Patrick Leahy; Burlington Mayor, Miro Weinberger; other federal, local and state officials.

An in-street transit “mall” on St. Paul Street in Burlington was selected as the best alternative to the current bus station on Cherry Street. The selection process by an advisory committee for the Chittenden County Transportation Authority paves the way for further approval, design and construction work.
