Mayor Bob Kiss declared August 6th, Nuclear Disarmament Day in the City of Burlington and asks all citizens to pause and reflect on ways in our lifetime to bring about world peace ad the abolition of nuclear weapons. This is the first Nuclear Disarmament Day in the USA and the world. August 6th was the 63th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on the civilian population of Hiroshima, Japan.
