Description

From the Office of Peter Welch:

"After speaking in support of the Postal Reform Act of 2021 on the House Floor, Rep. Welch holds a press conference to mark the bill’s passage earlier this week. Rep. Welch has long supported United States Postal Service (USPS) reform to improve its service for Vermont communities. The Postal Reform Act would make several important changes to address poor service and improve financial viability at USPS. These changes include creating a publicly available service tracker and eliminating the USPS’ requirement to prefund retiree health benefits, which has unnecessarily strained the USPS budget. Rep. Welch is joined by Scott Lasell from the National Postal Mail Handlers Union and Max Harris from Gardner’s Supply."
