Rosanne, in 5 words: Caring, Committed, Concerned, Critical, Enviornmentalist
Bio:
"Rosanne Greco was born in Scranton, PA to a coal miner father and garment factory worker mother. She entered the convent at age 12, and was a novice in the Sisters of Christian Charity when she left six and a half years later. She worked her way through college, and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Newark State College (now Kean College) in Union, NJ. She joined the U.S. Air Force in 1973 and served in five foreign countries and six U.S. states. She was an intelligence officer specializing in strategic nuclear weapons and arms control negotiations. She retired in 2003 as a full Colonel.
Rosanne moved to Vermont in 2008, and was elected to the South Burlington City Council in 2011. She was elected Chair of the City Council in 2012. After deciding in 2014 not to run again for political office, she has devoted her time to climate activism and other social justice issues. Rosanne has an MS in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Nebraska, and has completed all course work for a PhD in International Relations from the University of Maryland. She married for the first time at age 57, and is living with her loving husband in a big yellow house in South Burlington, Vermont along with their adopted dog, Jamie."
