Description
From The Mayor's office:
The timing of the event originates in the end of World War I, when the armistice between the Allies and Germany began at 11:00 am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year.
This annual event is hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wares (VFW) Howard Plant Post 782. It has been a great privilege to attend this event as Mayor, and I invite you to join me and many others at Battery Park to honor those in our community, including many City employees, who have served our country in the armed forces.
