Friedman, Ph.D, Author and Board Member of multiple national and international Chronic Fatigue Syndrome organizations, including VT CFIDS (immunedysfunction.org). The two share information on the activities and mission of VT CFIDS whose mission statement reads: The goals of the Vermont CFIDS Association are to: (1) raise public awareness of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS), (2) support and advocate for Vermonters who suffer the debilitating symptoms of this and related disorders, and (3) facilitate the education of patients, families, healthcare providers and primary care physicians in order to validate and establish a recognized and acceptable protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of CFIDS.

    Attorney General Bill Sorrell and others welcome public thoughts and ideas at this forum. “Vermont leaders and legislators have taken many steps during the past two decades, both through policy and legislation, to ease prison overcrowding and minimize the need to send Vermont prisoners out of state,” said Sorrell. “In particular, I would like to hear whether Vermonters are ready to ask the Legislature to commit to a statewide policy regarding sentencing and release decisions that reduces reliance on incarceration or lengthy incarceration in response to criminal conduct.”

    Representatives from law enforcement, corrections and human services officials, prisoner rights groups, victim advocates, and others join the Attorney General at this forum.
