    Zpora Perry, a social worker with the Committee On Temporary Shelter (COTS), which runs the Canal Street Veterans Shelter, Joe Fulcher, a formerly homeless Vietnam Veteran, and Kathleen Berk, Director of Housing Program Administration for the Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) join Host Mike McNamara in discussing the statewide Veterans Administration Supportive Housing (VASH) voucher program, and what many believe to be a model Veterans housing program in Winooski, done in partnership with the American Legion and DAV.

South Burlington Special Election Ballot Items

    South Burlington voters are asked to weigh in on 3 articles, December 6th in a Special city-wide vote.

    • Rich Cassidy, Chair, SB School Board, speaks about Article I, which proposes to change how we vote on our City and School budgets. 
    • Sandy Dooley, Chair, SB City Council, speaks about Article II, which proposes to eliminate the City Charter requirement to conduct a reappraisal every three years. 
    • Rosanne Greco, Clerk, SB City Council, and Elizabth Milizia, Secretary, SB Land Trust speaks about Article III, which seeks voter approval of a proposed land exchange between the City and VT National Country Club to settle a Court case. The proposed exchange involves the City giving the Country Club 7+ acres of Wheeler Nature Park land in exchange for 21+ acres of Country Club land to be added to Wheeler Nature Park; Article III also proposes making the newly configured and larger Wheeler Nature Park subject to a third-party-controlled conservation easement that would protect it from sale and development forever.
