Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), joins Brenda Torpy, C.E.O. for Champlain Housing Trust; Nancy Owens, executive director of Housing Vermont; and other local officials at the groundbreaking of new 30-unit affordable housing development on Susie Wilson Road in Essex. The Cedars’ Edge project is funded with the help of a federal grant secured by Sanders.
