Description

Nuclear Free Future host Margaret Harrington talks with Arnie Gundersen and Grayson Webb of Fairewinds Energy Education about how the worldwide nuclear industry pushes a nuclear solution to global warming. This is a Smokescreen, which is the name of the 2 minute video shown at the end of the program. Arnie and Grayson talk about the millions of tons of CO2 released every year into the atmosphere and the small impact nuclear power has on easing the Earth from these emissions.
At least $8.2 Trillion would be needed to build the 1,000 atomic reactors the nuclear industry wants. That's one reactor every twelve days for thirty-five years. Smokescreen is an enlightening testimony to the 18 months of investigative research by the Fairewinds staff.
