Ed Baker hosts a conversation with Shannon Carchidi, Executive Director, and Liza Ryan, CRC, LICSW, Community Outreach Coordinator at the North Central Vermont Recovery Center. They discuss the North Central Vermont Recovery Center's new community health vending machine.
The North Central Vermont Recovery Center announces the unveiling of its “Community Health Vending Machine”, offering the community Narcan, Fentanyl and Xylazine Testing Strips, and Hygiene Kits free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week! This is the Center’s most recent research-based contribution toward broadening and deepening its reach in North Central Vermont to people using drugs.
North Central Vermont Recovery Center is a safe, welcoming, substance-free environment for individuals and families on their paths to lasting recovery from substance use disorder.
Shannon Carchidi is the Executive Director of the North Country Vermont Recovery Center (NCVRC) She joined the NCVRC team 5 years ago with over 20 years of professional Human Resources experience as well as program and project management experience. As a person living in and committed to her own long-term recovery and sobriety, for the past 15+ years, she is passionate about recovery and motivated to sustain and grow the NCVRC services and team. Shannon’s experience with leadership, change management and employee relations continues to be embraced with so many positive changes and growth within our community. She lives in Berlin with her very active 9-year old son, very supportive boyfriend, and even more energetic puppy named Watson. In her spare time she loves to read, go boating, spend time with her family, and travel.
