Description
What can be done to reverse the implications of "Corporate Personhood," including the recent, disastrous, Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission that corporations have a constitutionally-protected right to unlimited and anonymous campaign spending? How can we establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are entitled to constitutional rights? Joining Senator Sanders will be a keynote address by Thom Hartmann, host of the nationally-syndicated "Thom Hartmann Program" and renowned author. Also speaking at the meeting will be Rob Weissman, president of Public Citizen, Cheryl Hanna, constitutional law professor at Vermont Law School, and Vermont State Senator Ginny Lyons.
