Description

From 350 Vermont:

Prepare for the upcomng election! Join us on February 25th for a critical conversation on the future of our environment!

As Burlington continues to grow and evolve, addressing climate change and ensuring a sustainable future is more important than ever. With the upcoming March 5th elections, the Burlington City Councilor Climate Candidate Forum invites all residents to engage with candidates running for city council as they share their plans and policies for combating climate change, advancing sustainability initiatives, and building a greener, more resilient community.

This forum will allow candidates to answer pressing questions on topics such as the McNeil Plant, environmental justice, and more. It will also allow attendees to ask how counselors plan to address Burlington's climate challenges.

Candidates include: Allie Schachter (D) (East District), Kathy Olwell (P) (East District), and Jennifer Monroe Zakaras (P) (South District)

This is a free, open-to-all event, and we encourage everyone who cares about Burlington’s climate future to attend and participate. Let’s shape a cleaner, greener Burlington together!
