Organized by the Citizens Awareness Network and the Vermont Yankee Decommissioning Alliance, activists are raising awareness of nuclear waste from Vermont Yankee being transported to West Texas and New Mexico.

Leona Morgan, Nuclear Issues Study Group (NISG), is from the Navajo Nation and a community impacted by uranium mining and the nuclear fuel cycle.
Diane D’Arrigo, Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS), addresses the vulnerabilities of centralized interim storage of HLNW and federal policy.
Deb Katz, Citizens Awareness Network (CAN), addresses the issues of NorthStar, decommissioning, and hardened on site storage at nuclear sites.
