Farmworkers will hold ten “Don’t Buy” pickets at Hannaford Supermarkets throughout northern New England to protest poor conditions and human rights abuses in the company’s dairy supply chain. Dairy workers and allies will picket stores and encourage potential customers to withhold their purchases in support of workers’ invitation for Hannaford to join the Milk with Dignity Program. Campaign allies are encouraged to organize additional events at Hannaford stores throughout the month, to educate customers on how Hannaford can address supply chain abuses through Milk with Dignity.
