Description
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) hosts the third Vermont Congressional Delegation tele-town hall on Thursday, at 5 p.m., to provide an update on the coronavirus response and take questions from Vermonters. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Representative Peter Welch (D-Vt.), and Governor Phil Scott (R) participate along with experts from around the state.
As Vice Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Leahy played a leading role in negotiating all four emergency relief bills to address the catastrophic economic and health impacts the virus has had in Vermont and across the country. The most recent package was passed by the Senate on Tuesday.
